Programme Overview
The programme aims to build individual and institutional research capacity and utilisation of research, including contemporary approaches to project design and impact measurement. The programme works with diverse individuals and partners to design and deliver high quality, experiential, and professional training that builds relevant knowledge, skills and competencies.
The programme offers a suite of high-level professional development courses for active and committed professionals and practitioners, researchers and planners, academics and postgraduate students. Our courses are designed to be adaptable to different audiences. The course contents are frequently reviewed and redesigned for currency and relevance using lessons and experiences obtained from previous training(s), and the current knowledge from research and development.
Our courses are delivered using a combination of learner-centred techniques such as group projects, role plays, and guided discussions coupled with formal lectures. These are supported by a substantial practical component to gain hands-on experience.
Most of our courses are 2-day in duration, although some run over three to five days. Courses are designed to be free-standing, though many build together to provide learning pathways from basic to a more advanced level.
Our courses often sell-out quickly and are repeated throughout the year. Check on our website for new dates. We also offer in-house training – please contact us for details and costs.
